PURPOSE OF POSITION: To perform quality assurance for the Research Foundation to ensure compliance with AAALAC, local, state, and federal regulations. To evaluate the research animal's health status through a sentinel animal program to assure quality research animals and provide treatment as directed for a Medical Center dedicated to the care of infants, children and adolescents.

Responsibilities
·Testing
To perform quality assurance on the automatic cage and rack washing equipment. Perform quality assurance on all autoclaves.
·Animals
Receive all incoming animals. Maintain a sentinel animal evaluation program.
·Maintain Compliance
Maintain AAALAC and USDA compliance in areas of responsibility. Maintain MSD sheets, chemical inventory, and controlled substances inventory logs.

Required:
·High School Graduate OR Equivalent
·Animal Health Tech Degree OR Equivalent
·3 years related experience

·AALAS certification
