PURPOSE OF POSITION: Consult with organizational stakeholders to design workshops and deliver innovative learning solutions to improve individual and team performance and help internal clients achieve their business goals. Provide the organization with comprehensive, effective, sustainable learning solutions and experiences to effectively execute strategic initiatives. Consult with other workplace learning and performance leaders and practitioners to leverage organizational resources and ensure alignment with the institutional and education strategy. Provide expertise and services to support the implementation of the education strategy and development of a learning culture. Incorporate an understanding of clients' business problems into the development of workshops and serve as an expert and coaching resource to other learning and performance practitioners.

Responsibilities
·Consultation:
Work in partnership with managers and colleagues to identify client education opportunities, build and deliver effective workshops, and align interventions and program content with the Institutional and Education Strategic Plans. Provide internal education consulting services that contribute to the achievement of CCHMC's strategic goals. Work collaboratively with clients to understand their goals; assess their learning needs, including formal needs assessments where appropriate; determine the most effective solution(s) to achieve their goals and ensure that they have a positive experience while working with Learning & Development. Work with clients and management to design and implement appropriate change management strategies to ensure learning solutions are effective and outcomes are sustained.
·Workshop Design and Facilitation:
Participate in and lead all phases of the workshop development and delivery process, from design to development and production of facilitator and learner materials. Include components (strategies, tools, materials, and processes) to ensure learning is reinforced, and sustained. Provide training or facilitation services to a variety of audiences with a variety of subjects. Delivers learning programs in accordance with course design to ensure learning outcomes. Deliver pilot programs to stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs).
·Project Management:
Manage the workshop development process; Engage and communicate with clients throughout the project life cycle; Manage clients and projects to ensure on-time delivery of products and services; Recognize and communicate issues and trends to relevant work groups and assume a leadership role in developing collaborative solutions.
·Outcomes & Impact:
Work with the Evaluation team to monitor facilitation and course performance using evaluation data; Work with instructional designers to identify and recommend changes to improve results and impact; incorporate learner and client feedback into the course maintenance process; Conduct tests of change and make recommendations as needed to achieve scorecard targets.
·Innovation & Evidence-Based Practice:
Extend professional knowledge base through primary and secondary research into learning products and services, including analysis of trends in organizational learning and learning technology; Actively research, recommend, and incorporate innovative training delivery techniques and technologies to deliver cutting edge learning solutions. Integrate research, evidence based practice and quality improvement findings into practice.
·Education Strategy Support:
Collect and compile relevant data in support of the education strategy and educational programs. Create a learning environment by sharing your expertise, serving as a resource to others, and encouraging them to ask you questions.
·Leadership & Collaboration:
Promote and provide guidance, resources and knowledge for professional growth across the organizational level and in the community. Act as a champion for education by creating a dynamic learning environment and cultivating a culture of lifelong learning. Proactively serve on councils & committees to represent the department & incorporate best practices.
