PURPOSE OF POSITION: To provide high quality customer service in an efficient manner. To clean, prepare, store and serve adequate supplies of fresh, nutritious and palatable foods and to maintain a clean environment for employees, visitors and patients in the Caf�. To process financial transactions and to comply with established cash handling policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
·Confidentiality
Act in manner that maintains confidentiality, protects and safeguards patient/family personal medical and financial information at all times during collection, use and storage. Access only information and records necessary to perform the responsibilities of your position.
·Operational
Clean, prepare, store and serve adequate supplies of fresh, nutritious and palatable foods and to maintain a clean environment for employees, visitors and patients in the Caf�. Understand and apply appropriate procedures for work flow and perform dedicated duties in a timely basis. Provide prompt assistance to meet customer needs. Implement HACCP when necessary, record appropriate temperatures and take appropriate action when they do not meet the standards. Efficiently process all cash, credit card and badge transactions. Balance daily work at end of shift. Maintain work station in a clean and orderly manner, no personal items at register.
·Customer Service
Serve as the first line of contact and a resource. Demonstrate effective customer service to employees and visitors. Manage and resolve customer satisfaction issues taking initiative to manage conflict in a proactive fashion. Keep managers fully informed of daily needs and problems that develop during the shift. Follow Core Values at all times.
·Fiscal Responsibility
Demonstrate fiscal responsibility and accountability with respect to all cash handling. Perform related duties as required.
·Compliance
Understand and comply to established cashier guidelines. Document compliance as necessary.
·Safety
Maintain specified procedure for ensuring that work areas are organized and present a safe environment, attend required monthly in-services. Comply with Infection Control policies & procedures.

Skills & Competencies
·Lifting
Physical stamina sufficient to perform frequent bending, light or moderate lifting and extensive standing/walking
·Communication
Effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills, the interest and ability to effectively interface with employees at all organizational levels. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
·Dexterity
Manual dexterity and motor coordination to operate required equipment.

Required:
·High School Graduate OR Equivalent
·1 year related experience OR institutional food service experience
