Faculty positions in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Cincinnati Children's

The Division of Emergency Medicine at CCHMC seeks talented, academically-oriented faculty members to join our team. We have open positions for fellowship-trained PEM faculty in an academic-clinician track as well as a research-focused track. Our Division includes over 40 faculty members with expertise and academic interests across the full range of our specialty. Clinically, the practice environment includes over 170,000 visits per year across 2 hospital-based EDs and 5 urgent care sites; we enjoy a busy level 1 Trauma service and are strongly committed to excellence in resuscitation, procedures, and team-based work. Academically, we anchor the PECARN HOMERUN node as a research center. Our research mission is growing across three major themes: brain and behavior, infection and inflammation, and the science of everyday care (communication, improvement, informatics and simulation). Our academic model is enriched by a thriving fellowship program and an ongoing commitment to excellence in how we teach and learn together.

Interested applicants should send a letter of interest and their CV to Stephen Porter MD, Division Director of Emergency Medicine. Board-eligibility or board certification in PEM is expected. The personal statement should specify whether you wish to be considered for a research-track position and/or an academic-clinician role. Those applicants interested in a research track position should highlight their specific area(s) of foci and expertise. Applications will be accepted through December 1st 2017 for those interested in a faculty position for July 2018. Earlier application is encouraged as interviews will be granted on a rolling basis and interviews will commence as of early October.
