Full Job Title: Surgery Scheduler (pre-authorizations) - Temporary, Full time. Heart Institute

This temporary position will allow continued patient care and continued revenue through obtaining prior authorizations. Obtaining prior authorization requires the scheduler to make multiple phone calls as well as input data online and fax clinical data to the insurance company.

The schedulers are in consistent contact with our families, surgeons, cardiologists, referring MDs and insurance companies throughout the entire process.

·Knowledge of ICD-9/10 and CPT Codes

·Experience with Epic
·Previous experience obtaining precertification from third party payors
