The Division of Human Genetics at Cincinnati Children's isexcited to share with you the opportunity to be a student worker. HumanGenetics is currently seeking a student with the following qualifications whocan commit to working 20 hours per week.

A solid background in programming and data analysis using R,Python or other programming language is required. Experience in management,processing of large data sets and dynamic web development using JavaScript andDHTML will be preferred. Ideally, the student should have basic knowledge inmathematics and statistics. A degree in computer science (or equivalentdiscipline) is preferred.

Role: The student will primarily assist in maintenance anddevelopment of our genetic data analysis pipeline or framework. The student'sproficiency in computational data analysis and visualization of large data setswill be utilized toward genomics and bioinformatics projects. Additionally, thestudent may be required to contribute towards optimizing algorithms (e.g.Statistical and/or Machine Learning methods) that facilitate computationallyefficient data analysis.

Required: currently enrolled in a local Master's degree granting program

Programming: R, Python, Perl, C/C , Java
