Clinical judgment when performing caring practices
Collects clinical data; follow algorithms, decision trees, and protocols. Matches formal knowledge with clinical events to make appropriate decisions; uses available resources as needed. Documents plan of care, care delivered, and patient and family outcomes.Focuses on the usual and customary needs of the patient and family; anticipates future needs; bases care on standards and protocols; maintains a safe physical environment; acknowledges death as a potential outcome. All RN, RT and Paramedic staff are expected to remain current with either TNCC, (RT and Paramedic audit), ATLS (everyone audit) or ITLS (everyone audit). (we currently have a variety of FTE's open)
Min 3 yrs RN ICU experience (NICU/PICU/CICU)
-NRP, PALS, ACLS and tNCC within 6 months of hire
-Must be flexible to rotate among CCHMC locations
-Will complete transports via ground ambulance, rotor wing helicopter, and fixed wing airplane, since Helicopter has weight restrictions applicant must be under 250 pounds in weight when dressed in full gear (equipment is normally 20 pounds)
TNCC or ATLS audit within 1 year of hire.
