PURPOSE OF POSITION: To provide HR support services for the assessment, development and implementation of strategies to address a broad spectrum of HR compliance and employee relations matters; ensure that HR compliance and employee relations strategies and solutions are consistent with CCHMC polices, mission and values. Supports Human Resources Directors, Business Partners and Consultants, management and employees in assigned business units to promote and maintain HR compliance, positive employee relations and maximize employee performance.
Partner with and serve as a resource to employees, management and Human Resources staff to promote and maintain positive employee relations, including but not limited to: Establish and maintain relationships with managers and other HR partners to proactively identify, manage and resolve employee relations concerns; Partner with supervisors to create specific action plans for addressing individual employee behavior and/or performance concerns; Identify resources to assist clients in addressing employee relations concerns. Interpret CCHMC policies and counsel employees and managers regarding their responsibilities and rights as CCHMC employees; Assist and facilitate the equitable resolution of job-related complaints and concerns; and Conduct internal investigations and report findings as appropriate.
Complete encounter or investigation documentation in a timely fashion. Assist in the preparation of required and supporting documentation for: unemployment claims, conflict resolution claims, federal and state agency claims and employment related litigation. Assist in measuring, assessing and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of human resources services. Analyze employee relations data to identify trends and offer solutions to effectively manage problematic trends.
Provide monthly HR updates; communicate HR initiatives and expectations. (Including opportunities to pilot new systems or processes); Communicate upward feedback to provide clients with candid advice and coaching regarding development opportunities; Manage implementation of HR initiatives to client groups; Develop and deliver unit-specific presentations on topics central to management and leadership; Educate and support client use of HR tools; Participate in client meetings to support area leaders and discuss HR-related issues as appropriate.
·Consultation and Project Management
Provide consultation and guidance to senior management and HR partners in the interpretation of HR policies, procedures, programs and application of related laws and regulations. Identify and recommend strategies to address current and future HR compliance needs. Coordinate and/or lead HR compliance related projects. Represent HR on hospital-wide or committees as assigned.

·Bachelor's Degree in a related field AND 3 years related experience OR
·Master's Degree in a related field AND 2 years related experience Preferred:
·Juris Doctor OR Master's Degree in Industrial Relations AND
·Professional in HR OR Senior Professional in HR
