Full Job Title: Digital Content Specialist- Marketing and Communications

PURPOSE OF POSITION: To maintain and improve digital communications to promote the work of various departments in the Medical Center. Collaborate with clients to maintain and enhance content on www.cincinnatichildrens.org. Leverage opportunities to promote digital content beyond the primary .org website.

Responsibilities
·Ongoing Content Management
Edit assigned client websites and maintain content that is current, optimized and achieving its intended goals. Employ best practices in writing/editing digital content and website design/layout. Develop and maintain a schedule to independently work simultaneously on multiple client projects with different timelines, deliverables and deadlines.
·Proactive Enhancement of Website
Focus on basic quality improvement efforts to implement best website practices. Participate in team discussions about best practices. Use best practices and judgment to identify optimal content and layout to best promote Cincinnati Children's. Partner with clients and Marketing & Communications colleagues to improve website content and presentation. Proactively apply basic usability and SEO trends and best practices to support improvement strategies. Use analytics to measure changes and adjust content as needed in coordination with colleagues or clients. Work independently to become familiar with all aspects of the website to cross-link your work with other related areas of the website.
·Client Relationship Management
Show flexibility and adaptability in client interactions, changing approach or method of communication to best match client's interest, availability, goals and technical knowledge. Effectively translate technical or complex concepts into more basic language that matches your client's knowledge or engagement level.

Skills & Competencies
·Project Management
Ability to work independently to develop, implement and manage projects; knowledge of the principles and concepts of project management including proficiency with relevant project management tools
·Communication - Advanced
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
·Technical
Proven skills utilizing content management systems to edit and publish online content. Knowledge of SEO practices and page optimization. Basic familiarity with web analytics. Knowledge of user experience principles and client service / management. Basic HTML knowledge.

Required:
·Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, English, or related field
·3 years of related experiece

Preferred:
·Sitecore CMS experience
