PURPOSE OF POSITION: To coordinate functional duties in connection with the preparation and serving of food to patients and cafeteria patrons for the Food Service Department. To assist in training employees in maintaining or improving upon standards of preparation and service, sanitation, safety, operation and care of equipment, and Customer Service.
·Operations Management Maintain day-to-day operations while performing specific job functions. Implement new policies & procedures as necessary. Give work direction to others. Resolve problems and redirect personnel when necessary. Set the bar for personnel to follow.
·Communication Effectively demonstrates communication skills related to conveying relevant information. Develop and maintain efficient internal communication processes to support the activities of the Department. Keep key leadership fully informed of issues in a timely manner.
·Customer Service Serves as the first line of contact and a resource. Demonstrates effective customer service to employees and/or visitors. Resolve customer satisfaction issues taking initiative to manage conflict in a proactive fashion.
·Safety Maintain safety program within the department. Ensure safety concerns are reported appropriately.
·Training Participate in the training of new employees. Assist in identifying ongoing training needs.
