0 PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Consult with organizational stakeholders to design, develop, and implement impactful, innovative learning and performance solutions to improve individual and team performance and help internal clients achieve their business goals. Provide the organization with comprehensive, effective, sustainable learning and performance support solutions to effectively execute strategic initiatives. Consult with other workplace learning and performance leaders and practitioners to leverage organizational resources and ensure alignment with the institutional and education strategy. Provide expertise and services to support the implementation of the education strategy and development of a learning culture. Incorporate an understanding of clients' business problems into the development of solutions and serve as an expert and coaching resource to other learning and performance practitioners.
Work in partnership with managers and colleagues to identify client education opportunities, build effective learning solutions, and align interventions and program content with Cincinnati Children's and Human Resources Strategic Plans. Provide internal education consulting services that contribute to the achievement of CCHMC's strategic goals. Work collaboratively with clients to understand their goals; assess their learning needs, including formal needs assessments where appropriate; determine the most effective solution(s) to achieve their goals and ensure that they have a positive experience while working with the Talent Team. Work with clients and management to design and implement appropriate change management strategies to ensure learning solutions are effective and outcomes are sustained.
Participate in and lead all phases of the instructional design process. Design, develop, and maintain creative, innovative, engaging, and impact-focused educational programs and support materials that lead to enhanced individual, team, and organizational capability; Employ multiple media and instructional strategies in design and development in order to address the diversity of learning styles, preferences, and workplace environments; Include components (strategies, tools, materials, and processes) to ensure learning is reinforced, sustained, and available at the time and place of need; Assist with the development of deployment plans and strategies. Conduct pilots and proof of concepts for newly developed/revised training programs with stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs). Verify accuracy of content and ensure that it meets the needs of the learners.
Develop project plans to guide instructional design projects, including tasks, work effort, milestones, and contingencies. Manage the instructional process including the creation of design documents, content outlines, storyboards/scripts, and instructional materials; Engage and communicate with clients throughout the project life cycle; Manage clients and projects to ensure on-time delivery of products and services; Record effort against project plans; Recognize and communicate issues and trends to relevant work groups and assume a leadership role in developing collaborative solutions.
Outcomes and & Impact:
Work with the Evaluation team to predict program impact and design learning and performance solutions to optimize return on investment; Work with the Evaluation team to monitor and assess the success of courses and programs; Work with facilitators to identify and recommend changes to improve results, ensure impact, and achieve metrics; incorporate learner and client feedback into the course maintenance process.
Innovation & Evidence-Based Practice:
Extend professional knowledge base through primary and secondary research into learning products and services, including analysis of trends in organizational learning and learning technology; Actively research, recommend, and incorporate innovative training tools and technologies to deliver cutting edge learning solutions. Integrate research, evidence based practice and quality improvement findings into practice.
Leadership & Collaboration:
Promote and provide guidance, resources and knowledge for professional growth across the organizational level and in the community. Act as a champion for education by creating a dynamic learning environment and cultivating a culture of lifelong learning. Proactively serve on councils & committees to represent the department & incorporate best practices. Serve as a resource for other learning and performance practitioners and organizational stakeholders.
