The Divisions of Endocrinology and Developmental Biology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Research Foundation are recruiting for faculty at the Assistant or Associate level. Ideal candidates will join a multi-disciplinary research community to investigate the developmental, cellular and molecular basis of diabetes, obesity and endocrinological diseases. Candidates with a MD, PhD, or MD/PhD with programmatic strengths in development and/or adult functions of endocrine cells, adipocytes, genetics of metabolic disease, or the molecular basis of obesity and diabetes are encouraged to apply. Our faculty have access to high-quality graduate, MD/PhD, postdoctoral, and clinical fellow trainees as well as associated training grants. Cincinnati Children's supports internal research awards in the areas of career development, new project development, innovation of new technology, and establishing clinical-basic research partnerships.

Candidates must have completed a postdoctoral training period, published high quality and original work, and hold an MD, PhD, or MD/PhD degree.

Skills & Competencies

·Interpersonal Communication
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Capable of relating to diverse age and demographic backgrounds.
·Analytical Ability
Analytical ability required to evaluate data, and make judgments with regard to medical/surgical, and clinical research material.
Possess organization and prioritization abilities.
Knowledge of research methodology, practice specialty, growth and development, family centered care, pathophysiology and/or pharmacology.
Organizational ability to work effectively within a highly matrixed and complex medical center. Possesses expert knowledge and experience of medical specialty.

·PhD degree in a related scientific or research field
·Three years related experience in research field research
Lab experience
assisting with the preparation of data for presentation at scientific meetings
·Associate Professor appointment or eligibility required
