To generate multidimensional animations for use in medical education projects. Work with medical content experts (physicians, nurses, researchers) to develop animations for use in education, research and patient care. Responsible for the layout, design, and production activities to produce graphic-design artwork
and design in a way that could be exported to a variety of different mediums such as 3D printing, virtual reality, and mobile apps.
Manage day to day operations of media lab involving animation, still renders, modeling, texturing, 3D print file preparation, or Unity asset preparation. Exercises independent judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Manage day to day operations of media lab. Work within CCHMC resources to optimize computational performance of software and hardware. Coordinate incorporation into video productions. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Maintain an organized system of projects. Coordinate with content experts (physicians, nurses, researchers) to develop and improve models. Collaborate with project teams to plan, analyze, organize, and execute assigned projects. Meet with employees, consultants, and/or vendors, to assess effectiveness of product imagery and presentation needs. Manage relationships with external sources relating to design issues. Set-up work flow with BMI for use of storage cluster and render farms. Works on problems of diverse scope in which analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Coordinate in-house and outside vendor services.
Skills & Competencies
Expertise in professional grade 3D animation, including, but not limited to Autodesk Maya or 3DS Max. Skills in video editing (Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere or equivalent), Digital Sculpting (Mudbox or Zbrush or equivalent) and Compositing (Shake, Nuke, After Effects or equivalent). Expertise in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, 3D animation, and other 2D software. Requires knowledge of industry relevant multimedia software. Must have an in-depth knowledge of graphic-design equipment, tools, and techniques.
Knowledge of utilization and optimization of network rendering and storage.

-Experienced in modeling and texturing high and low poly models and who can adapt many styles from cartoon characters to photo accurate anatomy.
-Expertise in Autodesk Maya, Zbrush or Mudbox, and Photoshop is required. Must have an in-depth knowledge of Maya's rigging and animation tools.·
