Toprovide training and orientation for new hires and existing employees onrelevant processes for division. To provide training of our staff on standardprocesses. Evaluate the training needs of the division focusing on highest riskcategories. Revise or create newtraining programs that address the highest risks. Audit daily functions to review and identifytrends, measurement of processes, and training needs.



Provideorientation, training, and records maintenance (including checklists) relativeto all new hires. Responsible for developing and producing classroom handouts,instructional materials, aids and manuals. Attend conferences or seminars, anddisseminate relevant information to the division. Develop and maintain trainingmaterials needed for training program. Maintain division training records. Organize quarterly training for CCHMC and the division. Responsible for the development andmaintenance of division supervisory training manual. Maintain SOP/policy database (Quizlet) relatedto the promotion eligibility test, and oversee process for career advancementprograms. Maintain IAHSS, ASIS, ACFE andother industry related certifications and associated records. Organize and assist with conducting annualBlitz and PSRT training. Maintain database, and ensure staff compliance withall CCHMC required training.


Serveas a one-on-one preceptor for new hires.

Process Improvement

Mapout training plans, schedules, as well as design, revise existing, and createnew and innovative contemporary industry specific training programs.


Maintaindata for reports, audits, and training related activities. Make qualityassurance recommendations to division based on data collected and trendinformation from reports and work queues. Create, edit, and publish articles.

Quality Audit

Analyzedata and create, organize, and maintain reports in order to produce daily auditof relevant data. Maintain Microsoft Excel spreadsheet for performance trendingerrors. Make quality assurance recommendations to leadership based on datacollected from reports and auditing. Provide analysis and trends to division leadership.



§ Experience developingtraining and development programs.

§ Minimum 2 years relatedsecurity and/or law enforcement related experience.

§ Valid Ohio driver's license.


§ Bachelor's degree in relatedfield or equivalent.

§ Demonstrable proficiency withcomputer applications (word processing, spreadsheet, and database).


Excellentverbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Demonstrableability to work autonomously exercising independent judgment and in acollaborative team environment. Shareresponsibility for overseeing professional development within the division.Ability to travel locally to CCHMC facilities other than main campus as dutiesrequire. Flexibility to occasionally work different hours and shifts dependentupon the needs of the division.

Internship Program

Assumeresponsibility for overseeing the division internship program. This includes development of college oruniversity contacts, investigation is conducted prior to introduction of anintern to Protective Services.

Computer Proficiency

Demonstrableproficiency with basic computer applications such as, but not necessarilylimited to Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), email, and internet.Familiarity with training software programs preferred.
