PURPOSE OF POSITION: Responsible for medical record documentation completion and transcription support for CCHMC and community physicians

ResponsibilitiesHealth Information Management

Perform all duties of an Health Information Management Technician I as needed. Secure records from referring providers for new patient visits. Ensure records are available in the appropriate area of Epic. Collect and scan Informed Consent forms and provide them to the HIM Department so they can be accessed prior to OR procedures. Collect, organize, and manage all other paper patient records and ensure they are handled appropriately. Transport records as needed to the HIM Department.Patient Chart Maintenance

Perform chart completion functions including record retrieval, reanalysis, update of systems, and filing

of records.Department Support

Receive, assess and prioritize customer needs via mail or electronic correspondence. Ensure proper organization of records within the medical record. Ensure proper organization of records in the department. Perform special projects as requested. Manage division interoffice mail.

• Associates Degree OR equivalent relevant experience
