PURPOSE OF POSITION: To analyze, design, implement and maintain computer based systems. Provide consultative advice and support to employees of a Medical Center dedicated to the care of infants, children and adolescents.

Responsibilities
·Compliance I
Understand and comply to applicable policies, guidelines, regulations, and/or accreditation standards. Document compliance as necessary. Maintain compliance with CCHMC Core Standards and code of ethics. May be responsible for ensuring that work areas are organized and present a safe, accessible, effective, and/or efficient environment for employees, patients, and/or families.
·SYSTEM MANAGEMENT
Design, build and maintain all domains for departmental systems. Implement software packages, patches and upgrades. Utilizes technical knowledge to support system servers, report printers, fax servers, etc. Maintain change control for all system and database builds in all domains. Implement, validate and support departmental systems and interfaces. Test and validate workflow changes, database builds or changes, and technical upgrades for all systems. Monitor vendor notifications regarding issues, resolutions, and software upgrade requirements. Collect information for future systems development and feasibility studies.
·PROJECT SUPPORT
Prepare documents to support project management and reporting. Maintain systems and processes related to projects. Develop presentations and communicate project status to key stakeholders.
·RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
Builds and maintains positive relationships with vendors, customers and key stakeholders.
·ANALYSIS
Analyze and manage maintenance and support requests for the division. Maintain issues log and troubleshooting guide. Document issue resolution. Provide feedback to users on how to avoid consistent errors and look for long-term solutions.
·TECHNICAL SUPPORT
Consults with department staff and Information Services to determine requirements for information systems. Serves as a technical resource for the Department. Serve as a liaison between the department and Information Services. Support departmental efforts to improve customer satisfaction. Design, write and complete user documentation.
·PROCESS IMPROVEMENT
Document business processes and technical requirements. Lead fit/gap sessions for new application implementation. Represent department in the development and needs analysis sessions to insure the best approach to resolving department needs. Utilizes a high degree of creativity and foresight in order to overcome obstacles and find innovative ways to improve efficiency of departmental processes and software in a controlled, disciplined environment. Assist in analyzing, designing and implementing departmental information systems. Develop, build, modify, test and implement programs, screens, reports and control mechanisms specific to an area. Collect information necessary for future systems development and feasibility studies. Evaluate current systems for quality/utilization. Assist with the development of the test plan. Participate in the execution of test plans and test scripts to validate system implementations and modifications.
·TRAINING
Assist in developing training objectives. Assist in preparing oral and written presentations. Conduct training and instructional seminars for the department.
·REPORTING
Works with department to understand reporting needs. Prepare statistical summaries and reports. Develops reports through efficient use of various tools available. Runs reports as needed by department.

Required:
·Bachelor Information Systems OR Related Discipline
