PURPOSE OF POSITION: Provide critical implementation, operations, maintenance, and administration of key security and compliance systems and processes. Analyze layered security protection systems. Provide consultative advice and support to employees or peers.

Responsibilities
·Technical
Provide project management from evaluation to implementation and operations process. Vendor Management, product tuning to our environment to meet desired outcomes. Build, launch, and operationalize complex computer-based security systems. Analyses of process and workflow for Compliance based functions. Participate in team security efforts with assigned tasks. Establish and improve automated monitoring of assigned systems. Plan and conduct system research & testing as assigned. Originate, improve and/or update user and technical documentation for systems implemented. Participate in the evaluation of security systems and technology. Assist in the recommendation and application of appropriate computer technology to complex problems. Ensure the best approach to integrating security systems when resolving user department needs. Prioritize assigned tasks and projects based upon directives from supervisor.

Ensure outstanding end-user support is provided, including ongoing monitoring of Service Level Agreements for incident management and collaboration with other areas to ensure customer-centered incident management and support. Adhere to and promote continual adoption of change management policies and procedures. Model outstanding customer service behavior, including timely and effective follow-up with customers. Always maintain CCHMC's service standards of being Courteous, Attentive, Respectful and Enthusiastic team members, and Safe (CARES).
·Miscellaneous
Adequately represent Cincinnati Children's in development and needs analysis and to ensure the best approach to integrating security systems when resolving user department needs. Prioritize assigned tasks and projects based upon directives from supervisor. Follow policies and procedures governing the handling of confidential information as defined by Cincinnati Children's Policies and applicable laws and regulations. Maintain currency in field through continuing education, literature and seminars. Implement this knowledge into the Information Security team. Participate in improving organizational performance through recommending areas or approaches for improvement activities, performing new procedures, collecting data and providing input to department discussions. Perform other duties as assigned

Technical Expertise with MS OS, Linux/UNIX, MAC OS at the server and workstation levels. Proficiency with the security threat front and layered mitigation technologies. System vulnerability awareness expertise (server patch mitigation). Server performance as related to OS function and CPU/memory/resource usage. Technical expertise with methods of analyzing, configuring, specifying, designing, testing, and implementing commercial and open systems based security systems
·Expert- Security
Expertise with Leading Security products, server builds, systems fortification, provisioning hardware for operational function around application or service. Versed in the understanding of computer operation and nuances of user interaction and tendencies

Required:
·Bachelor's Degree in a related field OR Equivalent
·4 years exp in analyzing, programming, designing, testing, implementing computer based sys AND computer-based security systems and technology.
·Industry specific training and certification

Preferred:
·Internal CCHMC technical support experience and/or knowledge of key system or work process
