To generate digital images of patients with skin disease, including birthmarks, moles, acne, eczema, and other rashes for use in patient care (including documentation within the medical record), research activities, and education (including publication in the medical literature, medical presentations, and other medical education projects) in collaboration with medical experts (physicians, nurses, researchers) . Responsibilities may also include the layout, design, and production activities to produce graphic-design promotional materials.
·Medical/Scientific Photography Present and available during Dermatology clinic hours to perform digital photography of patients as needed. Work within CCHMC resources to optimize computational performance of software and hardware. Coordinate incorporation of patient images into image database and into electronic medical record. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
·Project Management Maintain an organized system of projects related to use of digital images in multimedia presentations. Coordinate with content experts (physicians, nurses, researchers) to develop and improve models. Collaborate with project teams to plan, analyze, organize, and execute assigned projects.
Skills & Competencies
·Photography and Editing Expertise in professional grade digital photography, including special skills in medical photography. Skills in digital photography and image editing (Adobe Photoshop).
·Preferred Expertise in Mirror, iPhoto, and other image database software. Knowledge of utilization and optimization of network rendering and storage.
