PURPOSE OF POSITION: To provide and manage daily operations including but not limited to equipment, administrative, facility, processes, supply chain, compliance and special projects. To plan, direct, organize, control, and improve functions for the department in order to meet fiscal needs. Hire, supervise, evaluate, educate and develop staff. This position provides direct oversight of Operations for the entirety of the Perioperative environment including: Same Day Surgery, Operating Rooms, PACU, Sterile Processing, Materials Management, and Vascular Access Teams. The environment spans Base and Liberty campuses with 10 distinct work locations. Scope covers 34 operative suites and associated

Responsibilities
·Operations
Serve as a point of contact and resource for the daily operations. Develop and execute a strategic vision and plan for the department/program. Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures that guide and support departmental operations and services. Research and resolve operational questions and problems as they arise. Serve as a resource to staff in the resolution of complex issues and concerns. Address problem trends, develop, plan and implement solutions to improve processes and work flow. Monitor operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient work flow and compliance with applicable laws, standards and regulations.

·Budget and Finance
Develop, track, monitor budgets for areas of responsibility and prepare financial reports and analysis as requested. Support supervisor in the flow and capture of information as needed. Review and categorize all patent-related financial information to ensure accurate payments and budgets. Manage the payment process. Create all distribution profiles for executed financial agreements consistent with revenue distribution agreements and CCHMC Policy. Assist with the creation of FY budgets based on reports and projections. Continually access budget processes in an effort to identify areas for cost savings.
·Project Management
Provide leadership for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with organizational strategy, commitments and goals. May manage the project budget. Develop project plans resource allocation, and timeline. Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope. May direct assigned project team ensuring effective utilization of resources. Reports on progress of the project to all stakeholders. Provides detailed organizational communication plans when clinical operations are impacted.
·Personnel Administration
Provide work direction to reporting staff. Select, train, and develop reporting personnel. Establish goals, appraise employee performance, and recommend personnel and salary actions as appropriate. Establish and maintain procedures for orientation of new employees. Manage the selection, development, motivation, evaluation, and discipline of reporting personnel. Manage the staffing and scheduling process and maintain responsibility for submitting accurate payroll records.
·Compliance
May define process and manage invention reporting required for federal and private compliance. Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required when regulation and system changes dictate. Collaborate to capture revenue distribution models for executed agreements to ensure that financials are distributed in compliance with the CCHMC policy. Identify opportunities on an ongoing basis to improve compliance with agreement obligations, including milestones, reporting, and invoicing.
·Manage Vendor and Internal Business Relationships
May work with vendors regarding functionality needs, coordinate implementation of new software and upgrades with IS, update processes and communicate changes to department and other stakeholders. May analyze, test and implement existing or new vendor software solutions that fulfill business needs or improve existing processes.

Provide leadership on initiatives, projects or programs. Collaborate with appropriate parties to plan, implement, and/or evaluate services. May manage personnel related to specific projects.

Required:
·Bachelor's degree in related field
·Five years of related experience

Preferred:
·Master's degree in related field
·Experience in a healthcare environment or other complex organization
·Prior supervisory/managerial experience
-Construction background
