PURPOSE OF POSITION: To help support CCHMC's vision to be a global leader in improving child health, the Business Development Department will (a) develop new services to support strategic goals (e.g., clinical, research, education, margin) and (b) develop affiliate relationships with other providers and institutions to extend the medical center's influence. The Business Development Manager will be a key member of this team by leading new service development efforts from concept to market entry and delivery as well as cultivating, developing and maintaining strategic relationships with affiliates.

Responsibilities
·Business Development and Strategy
Develop and implement sustainable business models with collaborative institutional partners related to Clinical Services and models, Education and Research. In partnership with CCHMC Institutes and Divisions, develop comprehensive business, marketing and sales plans. Support sales team by establishing clear targeting, presentation development and maintenance of relationships and the sale of CCHMC Services to other hospitals and healthcare systems. Develop and monitor sales and business development or project specific dashboard information that monitors and alerts CCHMC to changes or opportunities in the marketplace. Support execution via effective program and project management..
·Affiliate Development & Management
Facilitate relationships and affiliations in the US, including identifying potential opportunities and partners aligned to institutional objectives and strategies, establishing appropriate contacts, nurturing such relationships, planning and executing respective site visits, developing appropriate agreements, and monitoring activities to ensure successful compliance with terms of agreement. Consult with legal services, risk management, technology commercialization, etc, as needed. In consultation with legal services, develop appropriate partnership agreements. Maintain a database, measure, and monitor performance of such agreements. Create and maintain a database of collaborative activities and exchanges within assigned portfolio of partners. Interface within BD and divisions to identify clinical, research, and educational opportunities.
·Strategic and Operational Planning
In consultation with the relevant advisory committee and CCHMC leadership, facilitate the development of operational goals and strategies for specific partners and the portfolio of partners. Development an annual report on collaborative activities, accomplishments, and objectives. Network with peer organizations in to identify best practices in affiliate health services to continuously improve services for our customers. Assess program needs, prioritize action items and develop long and short range goals. Serve as primary account manager for partners including planning and coordinating all joint planning, contracting, and governance cycles and structures.

Required:
·Bachelor's degree OR equivalent
·5 years related experience
·Proven track record of success at driving service development from concept to launch

Preferred:
·Master of Business Admin OR Master of Health Administratn
·Experience in healthcare OR Experience in health care consulting
