PURPOSE OF POSITION: To serve as a Human Resource Compensation Consultant and act as a Compensation resource for the Human Resources Department of a Medical Center dedicated to the care of infants, children, and adolescents. To plan, design, measure, assess and improve Compensation functions in order to meet the fiscal, patient care, research and teaching needs of Cincinnati Children's.

Responsibilities
·Training Development and Delivery
Coordinate and participate in educational training and updates for Human Resources personnel and CCHMC employees.
·Consultation
Consult with HR staff and managers, provide guidance and serve as an expert resource regarding compensation issues, wage adjustment reviews, promotions and other pay actions. Develop understanding of client's specific compensation needs and maintain positive working relationships in order to provide guidance and make appropriate recommendations. Participate in the resolution of problems through providing data and analyses.
·Compensation Design & Strategy
Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of competitive compensation plans, practices and policies that support CCHMC's strategic objectives. Make recommendations to ensure competitive and accurate employee pay practices; develop recommendations for merit increases, structure changes, promotional increases, wage adjustments, general increases and pay practices that are in compliance with the FLSA. Makes recommendations for the development and maintenance of compensation policies and practices.
·Data Analysis
Identify and assist with participation in salary or other surveys conducted and initiate surveys comparing CCHMC to like organizations to obtain current market data. Analyze survey data and market trends and make recommendations of needed changes in the existing structure to maintain external market competitiveness. Analyze survey data for benchmark positions to determine market position. Work with managers/directors to make recommendations. Perform budget analysis for proposed adjustments. Compile comparative information and provide summary of analysis for presentation to Base Compensation Committee. Facilitate process for necessary adjustments.
·Regulatory Compliance
Monitor compliance with CCHMC's compensation guidelines. Provide consistent and equitable interpretation and administration of the compensation program.
·Technology
Understand and utilize the functionality of the HRIS to support compensation administration.
·Professional Development
Keep abreast of changes in the field of Human Resources - Compensation and develop practices that enable Cincinnati Children's to respond to changes.
·Project Management
Lead, participate in and coordinate projects which assess, develop or implement initiatives of the division.
·Job Description Management
Provide oversight and guidance to CCHMC's job description processes. Ensure consistent standards for position descriptions. Maintain centralized repository of approved job descriptions. Provide support to managers in developing position descriptions. Monitor compliance of position descriptions with ADA and JCAHO guidelines. Conduct position reviews and analysis and make appropriate recommendations. Administers CCHMC job evaluation program. Updates market data in a timely manner. Provides evaluations of new and existing positions. Develops and maintains standard documents for conducting position reviews. Maintains database of current evaluations for active positions.

Required:
·Bachelor's Degree
·7 years relevant HR experience

·Master's Degree
·PHR or SPHR Certified OR Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
