Educate and provide data analysis support related to operations of the Data/Analytics Team. Assist in the coordination and aggregation of information for use by management in its decision making in both general operations and in tactical and strategic planning. Maintain electronic and manual data bases and report archives. Communicate electronically and in person finding conclusions and recommendations.
A few areas this work will support include the Community Pillar SP2020 goals with Cradle Cincinnati/Infant Mortality, Reading initiatives, Community Activation, and Community Connected Primary Care. The role would also support inpatient flow/medical operations with flow failures data management, outpatient productivity data and reports, and ED flow measures.
*Pulling data from different sources for a composite measure
*Data preprocessing and cleanup of data.
*Running canned epic workbench reports and exporting data to Excel
*Setting up excel worksheets
*Collecting and compiling data from external customers into a workable source
*Creating SSRS reports and managing subscriptions
*Data Entry and RedCAP administration (ex. Community, Perinatal, Care Algorithm teams for General Surgery)
Collaborates with team members on the design, documentation, testing and implementation of data tasks related to projects. Develops systems for organizing data to analyze, identify and report trends. Participate in improving organizational performance through recommending areas or approaches for improvement activities, performing new data procedures, collecting data and providing input to department discussions.
Coordinates data collection efforts to include data capture, chart reviews, surveys and accessing hospital data source(s). Analyzes the interrelationships of data and defines logical aspects of data sets. Processes patient experience and other external data. Reviews final reports, tables, and listings. Performs data collection (may involve patient/family interaction), data entry, data checking, data validation, and data clean-up for analysis.
Processes and prepares standard reports for internal validation and cross validation of data. May evaluate and resolve issues regarding contents of reports. Communicate findings both electronically and in person. Maintains internal record keeping system(s) in conjunction with master files, folders and deadlines.
Works on problems of moderate scope in which analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
Leads the data management processes for quality improvement projects. Ensures tasks are completed within project timelines.
Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy of data manually entered by others. Maintain and audit automated data processing, providing status and activity reports as required. Participate in documentation and procedure reviews and identify critical data items required for analysis and reporting. Consult with senior peers on non-complex projects to learn through experience.
