The Development Department is looking for an Data Assistant to perform data entry and research support duties to maintain the integrity of various computer databases. Support for general data management tasks and projects.
Creates database accounts and researches necessary information to complete profiles. Saves electronic documents on database. Edits submitted information before entering. Applies logic to information provided to determine proper placement in database. Confirms or clarifies information provided for entry. Asks appropriate questions and follows up on incomplete data. Maintains electronic files and folders for tracking information. Understands the functions of departmental software and uses this knowledge to organize information. Thinks beyond given information to determine if data is missing. Transfers information between databases. Creates and maintains spreadsheets and databases. Produces queries from databases and reviews data to look for variances. Functions as a resource on data entry processes.
Performs basic searches utilizing electronic resources to confirm data. Using queries, researches basic information for projects. Conducts basic corporate research to confirm information and to supply data. Reviews publications, annual reports, event programs, etc., for information to add to the database. Troubleshoots in response to problems and poses solutions. Thinks logically and looks beyond the given data. Identifies problems and asks questions
Produces well written notes, documents, or messages from meetings. Composes clear, concise emails. Prioritizes tasks. Works quickly and efficiently to keep up with workflow of entire department. May also monitor departmental subscriptions for delivery and renewal, submit invoices for payment, fax documents, monitor and order supplies, contact maintenance or housekeeping, or act as receptionist when needed.
Prepare reports for internal validation and cross validation studies. May evaluate and resolve issues regarding contents of reports.
Works with department on large projects with deadlines. Prioritizes multiple requests for information.
