·Compliance - Patient Services Staff
Sustain a working understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. Support leadership in Compliance efforts to meet and sustain the regulatory compliance efforts of the department and hospital. Be mindful and judicious in monitoring safety and departmental policies and procedures. Ensure all individual certifications and Safety College requirements are fulfilled in a timely basis. Work with department managers, nurse council and magnet representatives to identify and share safety best practices. Be mindful of CCHMCs processes and compliance with CMS standards and freely communicate safety and compliance concerns to leadership team members.

Consistently integrates age specific and culturally diverse concepts into patient care, taking into consideration both the patient's chronological age and developmental functioning.
Demonstrates an understanding of the integrated therapy model of the Perlman Center. Engages the family, supporting needs for information and instruction, supporting healthy family interactions and showing respect and empathy. Helps therapists maintain, set-up/clean-up and manage equipment and materials used for therapeutic intervention. Cares for the personal needs of children in the program, including toileting, dressing and comforting during program sessions. Prepares food/snacks for children. Implements special instructions given by the therapist and developmental specialists for positioning, feeding, communication and use of equipment. Supports treatment goals and objectives by consulting and collaborating on an ongoing basis with teacher, PT, OT and SLP. Engages children in target activities under the direction of the OT, PT, SLP and teacher. Insures that all materials have been cleaned and/or sanitized appropriately following each program session, and/or between activities shared by children. Insures that work areas are organized and safe. Maintains supply of linens and other program supplies through coordination with CCHMC departments and Perlman administrative assistants.
Works collaboratively with the team to create and maintain a developmentally appropriate environment to provide maximum opportunities for active participation of children and effective therapeutic interventions. Actively participates in the multidisciplinary team process, demonstrating effective problem solving and communication. Deals with conflicts directly, constructively and tactfully. Promotes an atmosphere of cooperation, respect, and trust.
Helps with Perlman projects as assigned. Remains responsive to customer needs and generates solutions to identified problems. Contributes at Perlman staff meetings. Participates in and helps with Perlman events, in-services and/or conferences.
