PURPOSE OF POSITION: Process information and perform clerical and general office duties for Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.

·Office and Clerical
Assist in answering, screening and directing incoming telephone calls. Greet and direct visitors to the department. Gather initial patient information from parents and complete intake form. Assist in office duties, including typing, data entry, filing and copying. Receive, open, sort and distribute mail. Organize, maintain and assume custodial responsibility for files and record systems of the department. Gather information, perform calculations and prepare routine reports. Coordinate and distribute reports and mailings.

Ability to perform clerical functions with accuracy and attention to detail
·Service Orientation
Demonstrating concern for customer needs and issues; patiently tolerating rudeness and anger and responding with tact and empathy; showing persistent enthusiasm during customer interactions
Computer literacy sufficient to perform data entry and typing
·Keyboarding - 40 WPM
Ability to key 40 WPM
·Physical Stamina - Light
Physical stamina sufficient to perform frequent bending, light or moderate lifting and extensive standing/walking
Excellent verbal, written and/or interpersonal communication skills

·High School Graduate OR Equivalent
·1 year related experience

·Experience in healthcare
