PURPOSE OF POSITION: Utilizes technical expertise to support knowledge development and application of job related skills. Focuses as a resource and responds to inquiries related to a specific subject matter or technical applications. Coordination of the AHA courses offered through the Center for Simulation and Research

·Program Coordination
Proficient in knowledge and skills required by course or program; Instructs and/or manages courses or programs in a variety of formats, including simulation; provides trouble shooting and resource information to a specified audience; uses technical knowledge and skills to address routine tasks or to deliver specific training or technical services to a defined audience. Coordinates AHA courses including ACLS, PALS and BLS.
·Program Environment
Use teaching styles and interpersonal interactions that provide a positive learning environment; identify individual learning styles and resources for unique needs; models professional behavior for learners to facilitate positive results; evaluates learners' competency in accordance with course standards; proactively participates on relevant councils, committees, projects or task forces to facilitative teamwork within and across departments.
·Program Maintenance
Insure all program equipment is properly maintained; manage yearly calendar providing educational opportunities for all CCHMC employees; coordinates routine projects and assist with other education activities as needed.
·Performance Improvement
Use feedback gained from self, peers and customers to improve role effectiveness; participate in other professional development opportunities; evaluate individual course or project outcomes as a working framework for educational programs based on organizations needs; generate trending data and attendance numbers for department scorecard and any outside corporate partners
·Incorporate Core Values and Competencies
Insure accountability, provide exceptional communication and collaborative teamwork; maintain quality, productive and efficient job performance; includes general duties and responsibilities
·Simulation Center Collaboration
Work with Education Specialists on other Simulation Center Educational course offerings at the base locations as well as off site. Work collaboratively on development of new courses and scenarios. Gain knowledge of ongoing courses and processes in order to provide back up support as needed in the Center.

·Associates Degree OR Equivalent combination of education and experience
·2 years related experience

·Bachelor's degree
