Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC) Division of Rheumatology and the Cincinnati Children's Research Foundation (CCRF) are currently conducting a search for an Assistant Professor.
Responsibilities include both clinical duties with laboratory based research. The clinical component includes clinical care for patients with rheumatic diseases, largely outpatient based. However there will be a proportion of time for the inpatient service, consults and nighttime/weekend call. Laboratory based research is focused on pediatric rheumatic diseases. The research is utilization of transformative and enabling technologies including large clinical databases, bioinformatics, epidemiology, genomics, epigenetics, proteomics, and metabolomics to advance basic and translational research related to pediatric rheumatology.
CCHMC is one of the largest children's hospitals in the nation and ranks at the top of pediatric medical centers globally with respect to external funding and research accomplishments. The Cincinnati Children's Rheumatology Division has an active international clinical, quality improvement, translational and interventional clinical trial research program with a diverse and robust funding foundation.

The successful candidate must have M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. and completed at least three years of pediatric rheumatology fellowship training. Demonstrated record of high-quality peer-reviewed publications and the ability to successfully compete for grant funding are essential.

Analytical ability required to evaluate data, and make judgments with regard to medical/surgical, and clinical research material.
Possess organization and prioritization abilities.
Knowledge of research methodology, practice specialty, growth and development, family centered care, pathophysiology and/or pharmacology.
Organizational ability to work effectively within a highly matrixed and complex medical center. Possesses expert knowledge and experience of medical specialty.

·PhD degree in a related scientific or research field
·Three years related experience in research field research and/or Lab experience assisting with the preparation of data for presentation at scientific meetings
·Associate Professor appointment or eligibility required
