The Infectious Diseases Division at Cincinnati Children's Hospital seeks an outstanding investigator working in the area of systems biologyof vaccines and childhood infections. We are looking for an individual with basic science skills and interests in this area who will interact closely with existing faculty within our vaccine trials unit, part of the Vaccine and Treatment Evaluation Unit (VTEU) network of NIH. The ideal individual would have a basic research program focused on fundamental aspects of immunology, vaccinology, or microbial pathogenesis; but also a special interest in translating basic discoveries that will contribute to our understanding of childhood infections and to the development of preventive vaccines. Cincinnati Children's provides an ideal environment for an investigator to work across clinical and basic science divisions and develop a robust basic research program that will help improve child health.
