PURPOSE OF POSITION: Provide administrative support duties for assigned Department/Division.
REQUIRED SKILLS: Effective verbal, written and/or interpersonal communication skills. Proper use of spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Demonstrates accuracy and attention to detail. Demonstrates a professional demeanor. Maintains confidentiality of information. Operates standard office business machines. Computer literate and working knowledge of software applications. Keyboarding skills. Follows a sequence of basic instructions to complete tasks. Uses basic math skills. Demonstrates courteous and respectful behavior. Demonstrates the ability to work with a diverse group of people. Operates transcription equipment. Identifies problems and asks questions. Prioritizes tasks with some direction as to importance. Demonstrates diplomacy and tact.



QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related experience OR
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of college coursework
Preferred:
  • Vocational or continuing education in office services
Knowledge of medical terminology
